Sharp EL531WBBK (Black) Scientific Calculator Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Absolutely top-of-the-line calculator for basic science courses. College-level physics, chemistry, biology, statistics--this works just fine. For more advanced math (say, 300-level and above) you may want to consider something higher, and, of course, more expensive. Great value for the money, and rock-solid plastic build!

Sharp EL-W535B WriteView Scientific Calculator Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)HP-16C on Ebay......$200+. The Sharp EL-W535.....less than $15.

I have long sought after a decent calculator for use in computer science and networking and I THINK I found it - the Sharp EL-W535. It has HEX/BIN/OCT keys (they are 2nd functions unlike the HP-16C) but at least they are not buried in a menu somewhere. You can simply put it over into one of those number systems and do all calculations there -or- convert back and forth between systems.

Also supports NOT/AND/OR/XOR/XNOR. Certainly doesn't do everything the HP-16C does but for the money its a steal.
